This past Friday Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty (R) line item vetoed $381 million from a health plan for low income adults without children.
The Governor hasn't been a fan or a friend to those living in poverty. He tends to cut money from programs that would help those in the low income bracket.
Because of this line item veto - he will cause hospitals to absorb costs from treating those without insurance. This expense will be dealt with by cutting jobs - that means fewer nurses, doctors, etc. This WILL effect Minnesota's economy and it will also effect the health care of everyone who go to the hospitals that cut jobs. This will put more people in the unemployment line. This is not what you do when your in a recession.
The story: Hospitals react sharply to Pawlenty health veto
Minnesotans need a true leader - not a Governor that has only his national ambitions in mind.
